Dining in Aiken City

One of the most enjoyable parts about relocation is finding "your place" in a new city. You know the place your neighbors just automatically know you must be visiting on a Saturday night, the place with the best house wine or the best hoagie sandwich, the place where you know all the patrons and employees by name, watch games on Sundays, or escape to after a long day. It is your hang out, the place where you go and everybody knows your name.

Fortunately, Aiken is full of these places. The Town Tavern is open from 11:00 to midnight daily and serves lunch. With an American menu of sandwiches and burgers, this is surely a place you and your guests will be sure to enjoy.

If you fancy great local ribs, head down to the Aiken Brewing Company. This upscale, laid-back establishment provides both ambiance and atmosphere that will make you feel right at home.

If a more exotic menu suits your taste, try Riley's Whitby Bull. With Elk Steak and Fallow Tenderloin staples on this extensive menu, the Bull is one of the finest dining establishments in all of Aiken. Reservations are required to dine at Riley's Whitby Bull.

Once you have had dinner, it may be time to take a walk under the tree canopy of a romantically lit downtown to find that perfect cup of coffee. You can do just that as you take a stroll down to the New Moon Café for a cup of their java made from beans roasted onsite or enjoy one of their fresh, homemade pastries. They have a broad menu ranging from fresh roasted coffee, flavored coffee to all types of espresso drinks.
